Welcome to Richmond, Hinche Scholars!!!

August 12, 2011

Hinche Scholars (L to R) Frandy, Lude, Berry and Suze arrive at Richmond International Airport on August 11th, 2011

After a year and a half of planning, preparation and anticipation, four Haitian college students arrived at Richmond International Airport as part of the I Have a Dream Foundation’s Hinche Scholars Program.

Congratulations to these young people and a special THANK YOU to the many supporters of our project. This picture truly represents a “dream come true,” both for these young folks and for our project. Please be sure to check back regularly for updates and progress reports on these students and for ways that you can help.

In the meantime, please visit our official website – www.ihaveadreamrichmond.org  for donation details. We are still in need of financial support as well as “in kind” goods. Feel free to contact project coordinator Danny Yates at dannycyates@gmail.com  with any questions.

Thank you again and be sure to share this good news with your friends, family and colleagues. As the Hinche Scholars begin their studies at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, we will be sure to keep you posted with pictures, updates and ways you can help!

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE!!!

Hinche Scholars "Team" (from L to R) - Mr. Henshaw, Frandy, Lude, Ms. Gray, Suze, Berry, and Danny
