This Christmas, Consider Helping the Hinche Scholars

December 21, 2010
Jwaye Noel et Bon Fet Nouvel An – Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Hinche Scholars program!
This holiday season marks nearly one year since the tragic 7.0 magnitude earthquake stuck Haiti on January 12, 2010.
In a recent conversation with Hinche Scholar Suze Prince, this young woman said that “the greatest Christmas gift ever would be for me to continue my studies in the U.S.”
Over the past few months, we have worked so hard and with your help we are so close to making this dream a reality. Higher education for a handful of students from Hinche, Haiti is just a few steps away. Although we are still awaiting visas,  the need for financial donations as well as in-kind (non monetary) contributions is higher than ever.
Please peruse our website and contact us with any questions. For donation details, click on the tab at top right. Be sure t share the Hinche Scholars project with friends and family and check back soon for more information.
Thank you and Merry Christmas.

This picture shows Haiti's Presidential Palace all lit up for Christmas in December 2009. Sadly this year, the palace remains a pile of rubble. As the 2010 Holiday season rolls into full gear, please keep Haiti in your prayers.
