Bourdeau and Boudou Back Safely from PAP

January 22, 2010

Just heard the news via Pere Etienne. Pere Bourdeau was out again, visiting the sick and injured at the overflowing hospital, but Pere Etienne described the atmosphere in Hinche. Each day he says two truckloads of refugees (now some of whom are unrelated to Hinche) are arriving. More and more people are in the road. “Hinche n’avait rien. Maintenant, Hinche n’a absolument rien.” Essentially, Hinche had nothing, now it has absolutely nothing.

Waiting on pictures from Delile as to the street scenes and hospital photos. Today’s aftershock, 4.5 in some places, was only mild in Hinche. More news to come.

As always, DONATION info can be found on right sidebar. We’re still working to get the e-giving set up.

Pictured below is Pere Etienne with his teenage brother.
